To ensure we provide you with the correct map update, we need to know if your Database version has the letter ‘X’ at the end of it.

To complete purchase of this map update, you will need your Database Version, Device Number and VIN.
You will be able to locate all of these numbers from a single location. Please follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Turn on ignition and allow navigation system to complete the start-up sequence
  2. Press the SETTINGS button
  3. Press SYSTEM SETTINGS on the navigation screen
  4. Press OTHER on the navigation screen
  5. Press SYSTEM/DEVICE INFORMATION on the navigation screen
  6. The following information appears. You can print a copy of this page and record the values here:
  • Database version __ __ __ __ __ . __ __ . __ __ (enter periods, case-sensitive)
  • Device number __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ (11 digits, not case-sensitive, NO Dashes/Hyphens)

Please note:
• New map updates are typically released from the end of September through December depending on what system you have.
• Also – if you own a newer model year vehicle – a map update is typically not available until the following year. For example: If you own a 2017 Model Year vehicle – an update won’t be available for your vehicle until at least Fall 2018.*
